Eligibility: | Children with hearing loss who are working to develop spoken language through listening. Children from birth to three years of age are served in the early prevention program. Children from 3 to 10 years of age are served in the school program. Children in outside educational placements are served with individual therapy teletherapy and outreach support services. |
Intake Process: | Family visit and comprehensive listening, speech, and language evaluations for children with hearing loss. Family visit and speech, and language, hearing and developmental screening for children with normal hearing. |

Program/Service Notes:
Birth to three early intervention program offers onsite individual and group programming designed to support children with hearing loss and their families in developing strategies to expand listening and spoken skills across familiar environments. Home based therapy is also available for children enrolled in the state's early intervention program. Preschool through third grade classes are held in the school Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. Children with hearing loss learn alongside children with normal hearing in small classes with low student to teacher ratios. Children participate in theme based units of study. Parent Professional Collaboration opportunities are included to help maximize rate of progress and family involvement. Daily individual therapy with a certified speech-language pathologist for each child with hearing loss that requires it. Before and after care are avaiable at an additional cost, if needed.
