A healthcare conference focusing on skin and wound care will help those in the medical field learn the most current wound care and incontinence information to enhance the quality of care provided. The daylong conference will be held Thursday, October 9, at Sarah Bush Lincoln.
Attendees will learn to compare and contrast the assessment and management of arterial and venous leg ulcers; assess and treat the high-risk foot; describe types and management of incontinence; differentiate incontinence-associated dermatitis from other types of skin breakdown; and discuss the challenges in wound healing associated with autoimmune disorders. Participants will also learn more about edema and compression therapy.
Six and a half contact hours are available for nurses through the American Nurses Credientialing Center. Sarah Bush Lincoln is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
