The Charleston Police Department sold pink theme department patches during the month of October as part of the Pink Patch Project, a national campaign to raise awareness for those battling breast cancer. Officers sold all of its patches, raising $1,050 to benefit the Sarah Bush Lincoln Regional Cancer Center.
"We are so grateful to the Charleston Police Department for this wonderful donation that will benefit those fighting cancer who struggle to pay for costly medications and other medical necessities," Amy Card, SBL Foundation director, said. "We appreciate the officers and their generosity so very much."
