Through a partnership with RenalCare Associates, area residents with kidney disease and in need of medical care, will be able to receive the vital care at Sarah Bush Lincoln.
Beginning shortly, RenalCare nephrologists, who use advanced telehealth technology, will collaborate with Sarah Bush Lincoln physicians to provide full-service care to hospitalized patients requiring nephrology specialty care. A nephrologist will be available daily providing inpatient consultation and follow-up care, thus eliminating the need to transfer patients away from home to tertiary hospitals.
SBL Vice President of Medical Practices Greg Taylor explained that SBL intends to offer more kidney-related care as the demand increases. “We are pleased to work with RenalCare Associates in expanding the local kidney care available here in our community.”
RenalCare Associates is a growing practice of 25 nephrologists that serve a large portion of Central Illinois. It provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for all kidney-related disorders, dialysis and kidney transplants. Through this partnership with RenalCare, Sarah Bush Lincoln will be expanding kidney disease services both in the hospital and outpatient setting.
