More than $27,000 was raised for the Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospice House endowment at the annual SBL Health Foundation’s Hospice Binga.
The new Hospice House will open later this year and will offer eight private suites, a family gathering space, a communal kitchen, beautiful landscaping and more to help make the final days of loved ones as comfortable as possible.
The Hospice House endowment will help those with limited resources pay for their stay. Most insurances will cover hospice care, but not room and board.
SBL Special Events Officer Kim Lockart said she was delighted to see the support from the community this year. “The continued support for Hospice Binga helps those who struggle financially and wish to spend their final days in the Hospice House,” said Lockart. “We thank everyone in the community who supported the event this year.”
SBL is very grateful for its Hospice Binga supporters including Title sponsors: Blake’s Shining Star – The Durdel Family and Ken and Christy Maleske; Grunloh Construction, Inc.; and Washington Savings Bank; Event sponsors: First Neighbor Bank; Dr. Michael and Ruth Smith; and Ada Yutzy; Bereavement sponsors: Drs.
